We are looking for an experienced and passionate Key Stage 2 practitioner to join our team as a Key Stage 2 Literacy Specialist. This is a rewarding opportunity to support schools in strengthening the quality of their reading provision and improving literacy outcomes for pupils across Key Stage 2. Working as part of our English Hub team, you will provide school-to-school support, coaching leaders and teachers, delivering professional development and helping schools implement evidence-informed approaches to reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary development and reading for pleasure.

To be successful in this role, you will have significant KS2 teaching experience, excellent knowledge of effective reading and literacy practice, and the ability to build positive professional relationships with colleagues across a range of settings. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist literacy support, advice and coaching to schools to strengthen reading provision and improve outcomes for pupils across Key Stage 2.
• Deliver professional development, training and modelling of effective practice for teachers, reading leaders and senior leaders.
• Support schools to implement evidence-informed approaches to reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary development and reading for pleasure.
• Work collaboratively with school leaders to identify strengths, priorities for development and sustainable strategies for improvement.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on the impact of support programmes, ensuring schools make progress towards agreed objectives and reading outcomes.
• Build and maintain positive professional relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, acting as an advocate for high-quality literacy teaching and learning.
• Contribute to the wider work of the English Hub, sharing best practice and supporting the successful delivery of literacy-focused programmes and initiatives across the partnership.
