We are looking for a caring, motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Student Services team as a Teaching Assistant. This rewarding role plays a vital part in supporting students to access learning, achieve their potential and fully participate in school life. Working closely with teachers, the SEND team and other colleagues, you will provide tailored support to individual students and small groups, both in and out of the classroom, helping to remove barriers to learning and promote inclusion for all.
To undertake this role successfully, you will need to enjoy working with young people, communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families. You will have a patient, resilient and proactive approach, a commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing, and a passion for helping young people develop academically, socially and emotionally. Key Responsibilities:
- Support individual students and small groups to access learning activities and achieve their educational goals.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and adapting learning resources to meet students' individual needs.
- Promote the inclusion, independence and wellbeing of all students, particularly those with additional learning or support needs.
- Build positive and professional relationships with students, encouraging confidence, engagement and positive behaviour.
- Support the implementation of individual education plans and other targeted interventions as directed by teaching staff.
- Supervise students during lessons, breaktimes, educational visits and other school activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
- Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to review meetings where appropriate.
- Uphold safeguarding, health and safety and school policies at all times, helping to create a safe, supportive and inclusive learning environment.

The Trust:
The Lighthouse Schools Partnership (LSP) is a Multi-Academy Trust which has experienced rapid growth since it started in 2016. From September there will be 33 schools in the Trust.
